POSITION OVERVIEW
The Materials Handler is responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of materials within the warehouse. This role involves receiving, storing, picking and packing orders, and distributing materials. This role will take responsibility to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Receiving Inventory
- Receive items in the warehouse daily, checking for proper quantity and quality
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
- Properly receive purchase orders into Fishbowl (inventory management system), and submit packing slips to Purchasing
- Update the company Returns Log for every received product return
- Place received items into their appropriate location
- Record and report discrepancies or damages to the appropriate departments
Picking and Kitting
- Monitor the Fishbowl Dashboard for new Work Orders and picking orders
- Print pick ticket for assembly orders and retrieve the appropriate items on the ticket from their location
- Complete Work Orders for finished goods and subassemblies by kitting all items on the product Bill of Materials.
- Notify Purchasing of any items that go below the safety stock reorder points
- Conduct proper quality checks on all completed Work Orders prior to shipping
Warehouse Team Member
- Perform regular inventory cycle counts in the warehouse
- Maintain an environment of 5S quality standards throughout the warehouse
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment
- Communicate effectively with other departments to resolve any issues
- Work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to streamline operations and improve efficiency
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience with Microsoft or google software preferred
- 2+ year experience in shipping and receiving in a warehouse environment
- Vehicle harness-building experience preferred
- Ability to work at a fast pace to keep up with incoming orders and strict deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- High level of personal accountability and drive for high performance
- Effective oral communications
- Ability to speedily perform repetitive tasks on a regular basis
- Ability to handle and complete multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to lift up 60 pounds.
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience with 5S or other Lean Manufacturing Process preferred
- Experience with Fishbowl or other Enterprise Resource Planning system preferred
- Personal interest in process improvement
- Enjoy working in a team environment.
