POSITION OVERVIEW
The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for purchasing all materials and supply chain management to maintain proper inventory and supplier quality standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Monitor Inventory Levels and Purchase Parts
- Maintain accuracy of Fishbowl Inventory Management System
- Review status of open orders with suppliers daily to ensure on time delivery to support build schedule
- Communicate to the sales and production team due dates of material for open orders
- Over time, develop an integrated worksheet that tracks all inventory levels by part and integrates part usage and safety stock levels
Manage Purchasing Forecast based on Company Sales Forecast
- Use a variety of inputs to calculate weekly part usage rate
- Manage weekly purchasing forecast for the company
- Lead the weekly company Sales and Operations (S&OP) meeting with inputs from sales and product development to develop weekly build schedule
Negotiate Favorable Prices and Terms with Suppliers
- Review bills of materials to identify potential cost savings
- Develop supplier policies/scorecards and track supplier metrics compliance
- Negotiate with suppliers and freight carriers for competitive pricing, shipping, and credit terms
Establish and Monitor Safety Stock Levels by Part
- Work with sales forecast and purchasing forecast to monitor safety stock levels
Manage Vendor Returns Process
- Request return merchandise authorizations (RMA’s) from vendors for defective parts
- Track and follow up on vendor return requests to completion (credit memo)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management or related field
- Experience in purchasing/supply chain management preferred
- Experience with improving inventory management, order management, and warehouse management systems and processes preferred
- Experience working in an ISO or 5S environment preferred
- Experience with Fishbowl or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system preferred
- Strong computer skills required
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to manage supplier relationships in a positive, cost-effective manner
- Ability to effectively negotiate with vendors for competitive pricing and terms
